For daily dog walks, please wait to be invoiced. After being invoiced, your payment is due by the following Wednesday.


For vacation care visits, we require full payment before or on the visit start date.


We accept cash, checks or online payment with credit card. Please make checks out to Right At Home Pet Service. Please leave cash payment in a sealed, clearly marked envelope with you and your pets’ name on it.



All visits, including M-F daily dog walks that are cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are billed at 50% of service rate. Please make cancellation requests via the portal. 


If we're unable to access your home, we arrive and your pet isn't there or you've forgotten to cancel, you'll be billed for the full rate of the visit.

Cancellation Fee for Visits During Holidays: 50% of total invoice (Cancel 15 days prior to first day of service to avoid charges)  


We do not reimburse you or give credits for visits that were not completed if you return early from a trip.

We understand that unforeseen situations may arise, therefore RAHP reserves the right to waive any cancellation or emergency service fees, per our discretion.


For dog walks, pet sitting and sleepovers, please reserve as far in advance as your plans allow. In order to avoid scheduling conflicts, please try to reserve at least 7-10 days in advance. During major holidays (i.e. Christmas, Hanukah, New Year’s, Thanksgiving) we suggest reserving at least 3 to 4 weeks in advance.

Holiday walks are by special request only and are subject to availability.  In the event that your dog’s regularly scheduled walk falls on a holiday, we automatically cancel it unless we receive a special request for a holiday walk.

Add $16 per visit/walk for the following holidays: New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday,  Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Hanukah, President’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day.

Cancellation Fee for Visits During Holidays: 50% of invoice total. (Cancel 72 hours prior to avoid charges.) For Thanksgiving, Christmas, & New Year's we require a 3 week notice on cancellations.



RAHP requires 3 sets of keys, 2 of which go to your regular and back up sitter and one set is kept at our office in case of a lock-out or any other emergency. The other option is to rent a lock box from us for a one time rental fee of $30 and provide one set of keys that stay in the lockbox. Please try out all sets of keys to ensure that they work. We'll also test them during our Meet n Greet. Keys are kept in a secure location and key tags only have your pet’s name on them.


For fail proof key copies, we highly recommend Felix Lock Service in Uptown. Their address is 4637 N. Clark St. 773.561.7996 They are open Mon-Sat from (9a-12p & 2pm-5pm only. Most keys are $1 a copy. CASH ONLY.



For ease of service, we prefer to hold on to your 3 sets of keys or use a lockbox. However, we can arrange a time for pick up or drop for an administrative fee of $16, once your invoice is paid in full. We require a minimum of 48 hours notice for key pick up or drop off.



If parking permits are required on your street or parking is not readily available during your scheduled service time, please provide us with zone passes or an alternate parking space.


If we are required to pay a parking meter during our visits, you will be invoiced for total amount of parking. We will provide ticket stubs as proof.



RAHP does not board your pet but does offer OVERNIGHT stays at your home. Please see our Sleepovers page.
